Why do some down comforters have a Baffle Box Construction and what are the benefits: Many of our down comforters have this special baffle box construction. Baffle box construction is a unique technique of constructing a down comforter. In baffle box construction, the top fabric and bottom fabric are connected by "walls" that rise as the down expands. This is a superior feature that will make your down comforter easier to handle and warm throughout the comforter. Usually, typical box construction only sews together the top and bottom fabrics in a box pattern. Without the walls, the down cannot rise as high.
